2005/10/21 - Work on Matinicus. We removed the old tower that had belonged to Page and Betsy Burr. The top part was too narrow to climb. With the very kind help of Paul Murray, a new Rohn 25 tower was installed. This is nicer to climb, more attractive, and safer than the old tower. We lifted off just after sunset and the sky and ocean were beautiful. The purpose of the work is to enhance broadband coverage on Matinicus and its neighboring islands.
